The director general of the National Coal Company (CNH) in Petrosani, Constantin Jujan, stated, yesterday, that a sum of RON 248 M is needed this year for the Jiu Valley mines, Mediafax reports. “The European Commission was also advised of the amount of RON 248 M needed to cover the difference between the selling price and costs, as well as ecological and shutdown expenses,” the director general of CNH Petrosani, Constantin Jujan, stated. The Petrosani National Coal Company will be allotted a RON 136 M-subvention, following the budget rectification, to keep the mines going, the prime-minister Emil Boc said, on Tuesday, during a visit to Hunedoara County. The company’s debts to the state budget rose by 10 pc last year, amounting to RON 14.3 bln.
