Fathi Taher’s stake in the Marriott Hotel of Bucharest drops to 0.02 pc

The stake held by the Alliance Overseas Export-Import company, indirectly controlled by businessman Fathi Taher, in the company that owns the Marriott Hotel of Bucharest has dropped from 15 pc to just 0.02 pc following a capital increase made by two shareholders, Mediafax reports. At the beginning of July, the company that controls the hotel – ‘Societatea Companiilor Hoteliere Grand’ – had a shareholding structure composed of Austrian firm Strabag SE  – 51 pc, ONT Carpati (indirectly controlled by Bank of Cyprus) – 30 pc, Alliance Overseas Export-Import – 15 pc, and Grand Hotel Enterprises Ltd – 4 pc. Syrian businessman Fathi Taher was not immediately available for comments.
