Serious crash on A1 Highway – four injured

A family of four was injured on Sunday in a car crash that took place on the Bucharest-Pitesti Highway. The family was returning home after spending its vacation at the mountainside. According to the police, the driver veered to the right in order to enter a gas station but lost control of the steering wheel. The car collided with a bridgehead and ended up in a ditch. According to Chief Commissioner Emilian Buican, a 9-year-old boy sustained the most serious injuries and was medevaced by helicopter to a hospital in Bucharest. The driver was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Pitesti. The mother and a five-year-old boy received medical care on the spot.
