Works to consolidate, restore and modernise Victoria Palace, the government’s headquarters, require expenses of over RON 175 M, according to officials of the State Protocol Administration, quoted by Mediafax. Works began over two years ago. The restoration project also provides the construction of two fountains shaped as lion heads in front of Victoria Palace. The officials said the current stage of the project, which consisted of consolidation works, will be completed in December 2011. About RON 38.3 M was spent on this stage. The entire project is expected to be completed next year.
