Fragma and BZN among the stars of Mangalia 2011 Festival

Starting today, until August 15, the Mangalia Tourist Harbour will host the second edition of the Mangalia Festival, which will be broadcast live by TVR 3 and TVR International, a press release informs.

This first night, held under the heading “Talent beyond Borders”, kicks off at 10pm, bringing on stage artists who collected awards in various national and international competitions, including Mihai Traistariu, Nico, Antonia, Rallsa, Radio Killer, Bogdan Alin Ota, Lucia Dumitrescu, followed, from 11pm, by Luminita Anghel in recital. Thursday night will be titled “Radio Mix” and will bring, from 10pm, some of the most popular artists of the here and now: DJ Project, Connect-R, Deepside Deejays, Fly Project, Sylvie, Alex Anghel, Leticia, Dagu Project feat. Kleo Karanda. Thursday’s recital features the German dance band Fragma, known for hits like “Toca’s Miracle” or “Memory”.

On Friday, August 12, starting 10pm, some of Romania’s most beloved singers will join in the programme titled “From Mangalia … with love!”: Angela Similea, Ovidiu Komornyk, Mirabela Dauer, Claudia Pavel, Proconsul, Raoul, Ozana Barabancea, Aurelian Temisan. Starting 11pm, Anny Schilder and Jan Keizer, the two vocals of the Dutch band BZN (which delighted us with hits such as “El Condor Pasa”, “Blue Eyes” or “Dance, Dance”) will climb the stage in Mangalia for an exceptional recital. Saturday is allotted to a “Party at sea”, a hot night which will start earlier, at 9pm, tempting spectators and home-viewers with a wide range of musical genres and rhythms, featuring Ellie White, Alexandra Ungureanu & Crush, Valentin Dinu, Adrian Enache, Free DJ, Florin Muresan, Vlad Mirita, Amadeus. The night will close with a recital by Directia 5.

On Sunday, starting, once again, at 9pm, the public will have a chance to see “Mangalia in Gala dress”, on a night dedicated to artists who won prizes in various musical categories: Pepe, Antonia, Play & Win, Anda Adam, Voxis Sandri, Anna, Ellie White, Dan Balan, ROA. The evening will kick off with a fashion show bearing Catalin Botezatu’s signature and will close with a special Iris recital. The Mangalia 2011 Festival ends on Monday with the folklore show “Hora Neamului”, featuring artists and ensembles from all the folkloric regions.
