The Timis County’s General Office of Public Finances has placed 11 Poli Timisoara players under distraint because the team owes RON 25 M (EUR 6 M) to the state, Mediafax informs. The debt consists of unpaid salary taxes. The revenue service has placed Marian Cisovsky, Laszlo Sepsi, Dorin Goga, Ionut Matei, Paul Curtean, Paul Cosovanu, Florin Calusaru, Ioan Mera, Bogdan Morosan, Sevastian Petrus and Florin Sandu under distraint. “We don’t have any financial problems. We are almost on schedule with the payment of salaries, we don’t owe money to the state, but we can’t function. All our accounts and transactions are blocked and we can’t work. When we go to the revenue service people there shrug their shoulders. In these conditions it will be almost impossible to start the season. BkP is determined to ask for the club’s insolvency. Poli’s future is in danger,” Poli Timisoara owner Marian Iancu stated on sport.ro. Because of the same debts Poli did not receive a license for League I’s 2011-2012 season and was relegated to League II.
