MedLife to invest over EUR 50 M by 2015

MedLife, one of Romania’s most important private medical service operators, signed yesterday with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – member of the World Bank Group – and Erste Group jointly with Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) a syndicated loan contract worth EUR 40 M. According to a press release, the money provided by the private financial bodies belong to an investment programme that also includes individual funds worth a total EUR 52.1 M, which will run during 2011-2015. The financing agreement is the basis of an investment programme aimed at expanding operations and opening new units in Bucharest and throughout the country. At the end of the announced investment programme, MedLife will operate 10 hyperclinics, 6 large hospitals, 10 laboratories, 12 pharmacies.
