10-year-old found in alcoholic coma

A 10-year-old boy was found in an alcoholic coma in the company of a male during the eviction of nearly 100 squatters from a building in Bucharest’s district 2. The District 2 Hall later on announced the underage boy was the victim of a paedophile who had recruited him to have sex with the boy. Mediafax reported the boy had been placed with child protection services, with social assistants to assess his social and legal situation. The boy was admitted to the “Grigore Alexandrescu” hospital. The squatters were evicted from a bachelor apartment building formerly owned by the IEMI enterprise. Although the building has been disconnected from the power grid for years, its illegal residents managed to steal electricity for their own use thanks to some makeshift plugins.
