Baccalaureate exam’s autumn session starts today

The over 100,000 high school students who failed to pass the baccalaureate exam during the summer session will be given a second chance in the autumn session, which starts today with the oral exams. The exam series will start with a test meant to assess the students’ verbal communication skills and competence in Romanian language and literature and the mother tongue, for ethnic minorities (test A and test B). The Ministry of Education set up a toll-free helpline 080080110 for this session as well, where the public can notify the authorities of any irregularities related to the exam. The final results of the baccalaureate exam, the autumn session, will be announced on September 7. The summer session of the baccalaureate exam was the poorest in the past two decades, with a mere 45.72 pc-exam-passing rate after the contestations were solved.
