Aerobic Gymnastics: Romania wins Gold and Bronze at Shenzen

On Monday Romania won two more medals at the World University Games in Shenzhen, China: a gold medal in the aerobic gymnastics team event, in a tie with China, and a bronze medal in the group event, Agerpres informs.

The Romanian team (Andreea Bogati, Laura Andreea Cristache, Tudorel Valentin Mavrodineanu, Petru Tolan Porime, Anca Claudia Surdu and Mircea Zamfir) finished on first place, in a tie with China. Russia finished on 3rd place.

In the group event, Romania (Andreea Bogati, Laura Andreea Cristache, Petru Tolan Porime, Anca Claudia Surdu and Mircea Zamfir) finished on 3rd place with 21.265 points. China won the event (21.750 pts.), followed by Russia (21.650 pts.). Romania had a total of 16 medals (3 gold medals, 4 silver and 9 bronze) one day before the end of the competition.

The gold medals were won by Flavius Koczi (floor and vault) and the Romanian aerobic gymnastics team.
The silver medals were won by Bianca Pascu (sabre), gymnast Marius Berbecar (uneven bars), swimmer Norbert Trandafir (100-meter freestyle) and the mixed aerobic dance team.

The bronze medals were won by Flavius Koczi (pummel horse), judoka Valentin Radu (90-kg category), Violeta Dumitru (48-kg category), Bianca Perie (hammer throw), Cristina Bujin (triple jump), the men’s artistic gymnastics team (Flavius Koczi, Marius Berbecar, Vlad Cotuna), the women’s table tennis team (Elisabeta Samara, Ioana Ghemes and Anamaria Sebe) and the aerobic gymnastics team in the trio event (Petru Tolan Porime, Valentin Mavrodineanu and Mircea Zamfir) and the group event (Andreea Bogati, Laura Andreea Cristache, Petru Tolan Porime, Anca Claudia Surdu and Mircea Zamfir).
