Ionut Lupescu leaves FRF for UEFA

Romanian Football Federation (FRF) General Manager Ionut Lupescu announced his resignation on Monday. “It’s been 6 good years but it’s time for me to go. I thank you for staying by my side and I thank FRF President Mircea Sandu too for staying by my side up to a point,” Lupescu stated, being quoted by realitatea.net. Lupescu will organize the Europa League final in Bucharest. “For the time being I don’t know the exact office I will hold at UEFA, but I can tell you I will deal with organizing the Europa League final in Bucharest in 2012,” he said.
