“Bucharest Reads Poetry” project to kick off on August 30

The project “Bucharest Reads Poetry” will kick off on August 30 in the garden of the Bucharest’s Central School with an evening dedicated to Nichita Stanescu. ”Bucharest Reads Poetry” is part of the public reading programme for youth titled “Reading at Streetlamp Light”, which is already on its second edition. “Bucharest Reads Poetry” is a project initiated by volunteers of the Romanian Association for Culture, Education and Normality (ARCEN), meant to encourage reading and literary or trans-literary debates in the public space, as an alternative way of spending one’s spare time. The public’s entrance to the event is free, within the number of seats available.
