Cars registered in Bulgaria could only circulate 90 days a year in Romania

Lucian Dinita, head of the Romanian Traffic Police Department, told Mediafax yesterday that Police proposals on changes in traffic legislation include Bulgaria-matriculated cars only being allowed to circulate 90 days in Romania. Mr. Dinita said this proposal, along with those announced by Liviu Popa, head of the Romanian Police, last week, would be up for passage by the legislative body. Dinita ruled out some information in the press     saying traffic would be commensurate with the offender’s income. Dinita also dismissed Police prerogatives of seizing vehicles as a result of contraventions, adding these are only proposals being examined.
