Three Metin group leaders and a lieutenant in preventive arrest

Three of the Amet brothers and one of the lieutenants of the “Metin” group were sentenced to 29 days’ preventive arrest by the District 4 Court, while the other three persons detained will be investigated out of custody. The seven members of the “Metin” group were detained on Monday by the prosecutors who filed a suit for their preventive arrest. The Bucharest District 4 Court allowed the prosecutors’ proposal and pronounced 29 days’ preventive arrest rulings in the case of the brothers Fardin, Regep and Ridivan Amet, as well for Florin Gheorghe, according to a release issued yesterday by the High Court’s Prosecutor’s Office. The other three suspects detained, Gabriel Gheorghe Boruga, a.k.a. “Fatso”, Daniel Onu, a.k.a. “Dan Dog”, and Aurel Vasile Tatucu, will remain out of custody for now. The leaders of the “Metin” group, Fardin, Ridivan and Regep Amet, stand charged with outrage against morality and disturbance of public order, possession of a white weapon without a permit, acts of violence and the illegal use of non-lethal weapons for which a permit is required.
