Two dead, two injured in Brasov road crash

Two died and two more were injured Tuesday around noon, when a train hit an automobile near the village of Cristian, Brasov County. The two women that lost their life were on the rear seat of the car. One was decapitated and the other was thrown from the vehicle, at a distance of 15 meters. The injured victims – two men – were rushed to the Brasov County Hospital with extensive trauma. According to witnesses quoted by Mediafax, the engineer of the train going from Brasov to Zarnesti saw the car stopped on the tracks, sounded the horn and hit the emergency brakes, but was unable to avoid the impact. Train traffic was blocked for several hours through the spot. Several SMURD and Police teams responded to the emergency call.
