Democrat-Liberals also launches electoral threshold dropping

Democrat-Liberal MEP Cristian Preda wrote on his blog that a common ground is likely to be reached on a bicameral parliament being kept in place, yet with a substantial reduction in MP number. He pronounced himself in favour of joint local and legislative elections, along with the electoral threshold being dropped. In his view, nobody would risk asking for different data, substantial additional costs namely, at a time when budgetary resources are as scarce as they are. In his turn, Chamber of Deputies Law Commission Chairman Daniel Buda (PDL) told Mediafax yesterday that, in his opinion, a college winner is entailed to become an MP, “whether the party they represent reached the electoral threshold or not.”
