Iasi: 10-year-old child weighs 11 kg

A 10-year-old child weighs only 11 kilograms. The child suffers from gluten intolerance and his growth was stunted because his parents did not feed him properly. The boy was born with gluten intolerance in a very poor family in Targu Frumos. Although he is not allowed to eat bread, biscuits or pasta, his parents did feed him the above. “At 10 years old he should be weighing 28-30 kilograms, but he weighs 10-11 kilograms,” Dr. Marin Burlea, head of the Gastroenterology Clinic within the St. Mary Pediatric Hospital in Iasi, stated. The boy was hospitalized because he was so hungry he ate until his condition got even worse.
