Police raids house belonging to suspected burglars in Bucharest and Ilfov

Ilfov County Police officers yesterday raided 30 locations in Bucharest and the Ilfov County, in an attempt to bust a ring of house burglars suspected of operating in Romania, Germany, Spain and Denmark.

The thieves allegedly broke into houses and company offices, where they stole or robbed goods worth RON 40,000. Police is investigating 25 cases of theft and robbery. The thieves preferred to steal expensive jewels which they sold through the pawn shop controlled by a member of the gang. During the raids, a firearm was found in the house of a suspected thief.
