Doru Craiut, head of the Obstetrics-Gynaecology Department no 2 of the Oradea Maternity Hospital, is under investigation by the Romanian Doctors’ College (CPR) for having conducted laparoscopic surgeries without due competence and clinical studies aimed at testing medicines yet to be put on the market, without informing patients beforehand about their risks. According to Antena 3, Dr. Craiut allegedly received money from a medicine company. Doru Craiut could not be contacted, given his numerous medical and unpaid leaves. Mediafax quoted medical sources as saying Doru Craiut is currently in the US.
