Driver injures child in playground

The driver of a luxury car crashed into a playground in Bacau on Wednesday evening, injuring a 7-year-old child. The playground is located in a gas station’s courtyard. According to, eye-witnesses claim that the car had a speed of approximately 180 kilometers per hour and hit several parked cars before crashing into the playground. “The young man that caused the crash is 28 years old. He fled the scene of the crash. Policemen are working to identify him in order to take all legal measures,” Narcisa Butnaru, the spokesperson of Bacau County’s Police Inspectorate, stated. The seriously injured child was taken to the Pediatric Hospital in Bazau. Prosecutors have charged the driver with causing grievous bodily harm out of negligence, destruction of property and leaving the scene of an accident.
