Dan Radu Rusanu: USL will negotiate longer debt repayment intervals with the IMF

PNL vice-president Dan Radu Rusanu said yesterday, during the summer school for young Liberals, that when it will take the power, USL will negotiate with the IMF longer repayment intervals for Romania’s debt, Mediafax informs. According to Rusanu, the measure aims at securing money for investments. The money that will remain available from delaying the payments will be redirected to investments, he explained. “It is one thing to pay one billion in 2013 and something completely different to pay five billion. If I pay one billion, I’m left with four available for investments. If I never invest, and I use everything I earn to repay debts, I will never develop,” the Liberal leader concluded.
