King Mihai donates four forestry roads to Sinaia

King Mihai I has donated 27,000 square meters of land worth RON 44,238 to the city of Sinaia. The donation consists of four forestry roads that were part of the property that had been returned to the King three years ago. The four forestry roads go across the land owned by the Royal House. The donation contract stipulates that the donator maintains the free and unrestricted right to use those roads.

Sinaia Mayor Vlad Oprea stated for Mediafax that all four roads will be rehabilitated by local authorities. The mayor explained that one of the roads, the one that links Sinaia and Busteni, could become an alternative route to National Road 1.

Vlad Oprea added that two other roads linking Sinaia with the road that leads up to the 1,400-meter mark in the Bucegi Massif may be included in tourism circuits.
