The 4th “Undercloud” Theatre Festival started in Bucharest yesterday by joining 20 underground shows in an unconventional space. If the earlier editions were held literally “above the clubs”, on the “La Motoare” terrace on the National Theatre rooftop, this year, independent theatre companies , adding to which are a few state theatre productions, will perform at the “Muse” club, hosted by Rapsodia Hall on Lipscani St. The event, which runs thru Sept. 10, starts with “Te Iubesc. Te Iubesc?” <I Love You. Do I Love You?> and closes with the one-woman-show “A Woman Alone” by Dario Fo starring Maia Morgenstern. Among the festival highlights, two plays directed by Cristi Juncu: “American Buffalo” by David Mamet and “Some Girls”.
