Record attendance at Peninsula Festival

This year’s Tuborg Green Fest Peninsula Festival near the Weekend Complex in Targu Mures, August 25-28, attracted nearly 73,000 people who attended over 90 concerts, Mediafax quoted organizers as saying. They also say they will break even financially speaking, which means revenues will match EUR 1 M spending, 20 pc of which came from Romanian public institutions, 60 pc from sponsors and the remaining 20 pc from tickets. Heading the festival’s playbill, the bands Zdob and Zdub, Guano Apes, K’s Choice, Kasabian, N.O.H.A, Iggy and the Stooges, along with Luna Amara, Suie Paparude, Alvin es a Lokusok, Moby Dick, and, on the last day of the festival, Hammerfall and Within Temptation.
