The National Bank of Romania’s (BNR) RON/Swiss Franc exchange rate was down 7.3 pc, to RON 3.5344/SW, the highest RON appreciation against the SW in the past two months, and therefore the lowest RON/SF rate, as a result of the Swiss Central Bank’s announcement of a strengthened euro against the SF. BNR’s Monday’s rate stood at RON 3.8133/SF, RON 0.2789 above Tuesday’s rate. The BNR rate July 8, of RON 3.4792/SF was lower than Tuesday’s rate, BNR announced.
