The Romanian transporters’ association firmly turn down the Government Ordinance on road transport, according to the release by the Romanian Transporters’ Union (UNTRR). “Under the pretext of the implementation deadline of European road transport Regulations 1071, 1072, 1073, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MTI), although notified several times by professional and employers’ associations, is still pushing, without their consultative agreement, this ordinance seeking to be the bedrock of road transports in Romania,” UNTRR states. Transporters also say what they need is a law, yet not another ordinance adding to the long sequence of ordinances that make road transport regulations into a hostile and awkward welter , an environment quite favourable to abuses, as the MTI disregards the proposals made by employers’ associations”.
