Tanasescu: Private managers’ salaries conditioned by fulfillment of strict criteria

Mihai Tanasescu, Romania’s representative at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), stated that the most important thing is for the salaries of the state-owned companies’ private managers to be well-deserved irrespective of their level, meaning they have to be given only after their recipients have fulfilled very strict conditions, Mediafax informs.  “The letter of intent that the government sent to the IMF clearly points out that the government has taken the commitment to offer salaries in line with the free market realities. If you’ll compare them with what exists at this moment then of course the difference will be high and there might be problems with the public opinion,” the former Finance Minister stated for ‘Gandul.’  He added that the government’s and the administration’s role is very important.
