Dacia plant produces 200,000th Duster

Dacia plant produced its 200,000th Duster at the end of last week, a press communiqué informs. The 4×4 car, featuring the Laureate equipping package, and having a 110-HP and 1.5 dci engine, will be delivered to a Romanian client. The threshold was reached less than two years after the model started to be produced in January 2010. The production rate grew progressively, currently representing over 50 per cent of Dacia plant’s production. The Duster model was launched in March 2010 at the Auto Show in Geneva and the quality/price ratio brought it numerous prizes from auto professionals. Dacia Duster was “Car of the Year 2011” in Romania and Croatia, won the “SUV of the Year 2011” trophy in Romania, the “Autobest 2011” and “Argus” trophies in France, and the “Champion of Residual Value 2011” title in Germany.
