Medias Central European Film Festival Grand Prize goes to Poland

The Grand Prize of the first edition of the Medias Central European Film Festival was awarded to Polish film “Little Rose” directed by Jan Kidawa-Blonski, at the Sunday night closing gala, organizers announced. The Mediensis Best Director Award was handed to Florin Serban for his film “When I want to whistle, I whistle,” a Romanian 2010 production. Gei Oni/Valley of Fortitude (Israel 2010, director Dan Wolman) won the Special Jury Award. Actress Ursula Strauss got the best actress award for her part in “In Another Lifetime” (Austria, 2010, director Elisabeth Scharang).
