Catalin Voicu, first day in Parliament after release from detention

PSD Senator Catalin Voicu yesterday attended a Senate meeting, for the first time after his release from preventive arrest. Voicu said he came to the Senate in order to do his duty towards the voters that elected him in the Legislative. On the same occasion, the senator accused the way his trial went on. “A trial must be judged in the courtroom, not in the media, not by the public, not using hidden information sent by certain people,” he said, quoted by Mediafax. Catalin Voicu was set free from preventive arrest on July 18, following a decision of the Supreme Court.
