Head of ITM Timis arrested for acts of corruption, suspended from PDL

The head of the Timis Territorial Labour Inspectorate (ITM), Cornelia Corescu, member of the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL)’s Timis County Political Bureau, was suspended from the party for the time of the investigation in the case in which she was arrested for acts of corruption, Mediafax informs. The announcement was made yesterday by the spokesperson for PDL Timis, Oana Gaita, who stated that, according to PDL statute, a party member automatically loses this quality if arrested.  The head of ITM Timis, Cornelia Corescu, was detained a week ago on charges of influence-peddling and two instances of instigation to intellectual forgery, with a view to concealing acts of influence-peddling.
