Dacia, BDR and Dalkia awarded for Duster, Instant Pay and the CET Brazi investment.
The French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER) Friday celebrated 15 years of activity in Romania.
“Over the past 15 years, we have developed ourselves from a mere office into a strong Chamber that ensures the development of over 320 member companies. (…) Today, the CCIFER is one of the most representative foreign investors’ associations, and our members are Romania’s best ambassadors abroad,” said Bruno Roche, CCIFER president and general director, Apa Nova Bucuresti.
Roche said he is content that, despite the economic difficulties caused by the crisis in the past three years, no major French investor has left Romania, even if he acknowledges some projects suffered delays. “French investors continue to have confidence in Romania,” he outlined. Referring to the difficulties experienced by a foreign investor on the Romanian market, Roche said that the decision to invest, not just in Romania, but in other countries too, is a risk, an adventure. In Romania, in particular, difficulties are linked to a cumbersome administration, the difficulty of putting a file together, lack of road infrastructure.
Roche mentioned agriculture as one of the fields to which French investors might orient themselves to in the coming years.
At the anniversary gala Friday evening, several awards were handed to the French companies noticed for a special project during the past year.
