Two ANRMAP employees laid-off

The chair of the National Authority for Regulating and Monitoring of Public Procurement (ANRMAP), Cristina Traila, stated yesterday in a press conference that two ANRMAP employees had been laid-off in the past years as it was suspected they relied on alternative sources of income, alongside their public sector wages. According to Mediafax, she qualified statements made in an interview to “Gandul”, to the effect that “much too few public sector employees live exclusively on their wages.” “I made that statement as a citizen who cannot fail to notice what is going on around,” she explained. When asked what she relied on in making this claim, Traila allowed that the statement was based on her own experience.
