The event will bring together guests from eight countries.
The festival “Viata e frumoasa!” (Life is Beautiful) will take place between November 10 and 20 in Bucharest, the organizers, the “Ion Dacian” National Operetta Theatre, inform. The fourth edition of the festival brings to Bucharest first-rank names of the national and international light opera scene and will include operetta, music-hall and dance-theatre performances, as well as concerts, galas, book launches, conferences, workshops and film screenings, graced with the presence of guests from eight countries (Hungary, Russia, Italy, France, Slovakia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States). Participants in last year’s edition of the festival included Mariza and Tiger Lillies. During the 2011/2012 season, the National Operetta Theatre tempts us, once again, with titles from their staple repertoire, as well as recent premieres, shows for all age groups, ranging from operetta – “The Bat”, “Silvia”, “The Gypsy Baron”, “The Merry Widow”, “Countess Maritza” – and music-hall – “Rebecca”, “Paris, mon amour”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Supermarket”, “Broadway – Bucharest” – to dance-theatre – “Maria de Buenos Aires”, “Royal Fashion” – and children’s shows – “Sleeping Beauty”, “Little Dorothy”, “The Naughty Rooster” and “Gulliver in Lilliput”.
