About 54,000 graduates registered themselves as jobless, but almost 42,000 of them do not receive unemployment benefits, the head of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), Silviu Bian announced yesterday in a press conference. According to ANOFM data, 54,000 young graduates registered themselves as unemployed by September 25. Bian believes that the number of youths seeking a job is reason for concern, as the unemployment rate in the age category of 16-25 represents 27 pc of the total unemployment rate. Starting next year, the Agency plans to hold the annual job exchange for graduates in October, after the beginning of the university year, he added.
