During yesterday’s meeting, Boc decided to put the Romanian Center for Trade and Investment (CRPCIS) under his direct authority. The Center currently reports to the Ministry of Economy. From now on, the Center will have to submit to the premier, on weekly basis, a report with information about each investment requested in Romania, regardless if it’s a Romanian or foreign one, and about the approval phases and procedures at country and local scale. The government will make it sure that the legal deadlines of these procedures are observed, Boc said. Premier Emil Boc asked that the following matters will be discussed in every meeting of the Cabinet: the absorption of European funds and the situation of ongoing and future investment projects, HotNews.ro reports. Ministers will also analyse the situation of investment projects worth over EUR 1 M, the premier explained. Analysing the investments in each meeting can be a way to speed up the procedures in view of starting the projects, Boc pointed out.
