The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) applied to the European Commission (EC) for the redirection of funds between the categories included in the National Rural Development Program (PNDR), so that EUR 470 M can be transferred to the modernization of farms, animal health and boosting the added value of agricultural produce, Mediafax reports. According to the latter, MADR also intends to apply several modifications in the near future, whether they get approval for them or not, including the launch of a measure meant to assist young farmers, by which the subvention they are granted should be raised from maximum EUR 25,000 to EUR 40,000.
