The director general of the ArcelorMittal Galati iron-and-steel plant, Thierry Le Gall, will step down and is to be replaced by Eric Remisz, taking his first position within the group owned by the Indian tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, Mediafax reports. Le Gall stated, in a release, that, after his departure, the Galati plant would enter a new stage, which coincides with the resumption of operations at Furnace 5, following an investment of over EUR 80 M. “The plant will continue to focus on the Transformation Programme, as well as on enhancing technical performance, which remain its main targets,” Le Gall argued.
