Gymnastics: Hoping for world medals

The 532 gymnasts set to take part in the 43rd edition of the World Gymnastics Championships have trained intensely for the competition scheduled to start on October 7 in Tokyo, Agerpres informs. The Romanian women’s team’s star is Catalina Ponor, multiple world and Olympic champion, a gymnast that at the age of 24 decided to return to important competitions. Romanian men Marian Dragulescu and Flavius Koczi have high hopes to win medals too. In the teams’ event, Romania’s goal is to finish in top 8 in order to qualify for the Olympic Games.
