Social Democrat warns PDL against rigging elections

The secretary general of PSD, Liviu Dragnea said Friday, in Oradea, that he has information about PDL’s intent to rig next year’s elections, so he advised Democrat-Liberals to refrain from fraud, because “it is not worth going to prison for the sake of the party,” Mediafax informs. In a press conference, Dragnea said that he read, in a weekly magazine, about a PDL member from the staff of a voting section arranged in Oradea in view of the elections for the European Parliament, who was sent in court by prosecutors of the Oradea Court of Appeals and now risks up to seven years behind bars, because she cast 12 ballots. “PDL apparently wants to do the same next year, as it instructed each PDL representative in voting sections to cast 10-15 ballots, instead of those voters that will be absent,” the secretary general of PSD stated. Dragnea urged the members of PDL not to repeat “such practices” during next year’s elections, because their deeds will not go unpunished.
