Economy Minister goes to China, in search for investors

The Minister of Economy, Ion Ariton will lead the Romanian delegation to the 21st session of the Romania-China Joint Intergovernmental Commission that will take place on October 19-21, 2011 in Beijing, reads a press release issued by the institution. During his visit to China, Ariton will meet officials of several companies – Huadian Engineering, Sinohydro and China Nuclear Power Engineering – interested by major projects like the construction of reactors 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda NPP and the Tarnita-Lapusesti hydropower plant. In April 2011, a Chinese delegation led by Li Changchun, member of the Permanent Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party paid an official visit to Bucharest. In August 2011, Premier Emil Boc paid a working visit to China.
