Filasa to invest EUR 780 M in wind parks in Suceava County

The French company Filasa is to invest EUR 780 M in the next two years in the building of 11 wind parks in nine locations in Suceava County, with a total installed power of 516 Mw, the head of the Suceava County Council Gheorghe Flutur announced yesterday, quoted by Mediafax. According to the latter, the company representatives will officially inaugurate the project on November 17 and, up to now, a total EUR 6 M has been invested in technical studies and drafts and in the building of the company’s administrative office. The mayor’s offices from the towns and villages which will host the wind power plants will act as partners in the project and will be allotted 0.3 pc from profits, as well as between EUR 20,000 and 30,000 annually as lease for the land, while the owners of the plots of land who leased out the land for the plants will receive an average EUR 100 per hectare annually.
