According to Ion Minjina, Serban Huidu’s lawyer, the doctors that took care of his client after his skiing accident last winter did not tell him to avoid driving. The lawyer even stated that Huidu has a medical letter that recommends the resumption of all prior activities, “implicitly that of driving too.” “I can’t tell you whether the document is issued by doctors from the clinic in Vienna or by the Romanian medical team that monitored him on his return to the country. I personally haven’t seen this document, I was only told it exists. Anyway, we will submit it on file,” the lawyer stated, being quoted by Mediafax. He dismissed the allegation that at the time of the crash the TV producer was distracted by the noise his children were making on the backseat of the car. “He stated he was involved in this crash. What he can remember, or at least what he can recount, because it all happened very fast, was that the car skidded, there was a powerful impact and the airbags were deployed,” Minjina added. According to Carmina Reit, first prosecutor within Brasov Court’s Prosecutor’s Office, Huidu will be heard tomorrow at 9.30 AM.
