Tariceanu loses lawsuit against Boc over the Sterling case

Former Liberal PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu lost the trial in which he had accused Premier Emil Boc of slander, Realitatea TV reports. Tariceanu had sought no less than RON 100,000 as compensation for the defamatory statements against him, over the Sterling deal. The verdict issued by the Bucharest Tribunal is final. In his lawsuit, which he filed in 2009, Tariceanu accused Boc of slanderous statements against him regarding the adoption of the Government Decision that approved an additional act to the Contract for the exploration and production sharing for perimeters XIII Pelican and XV Midia, signed by the National Agency of Mineral Resources  and the Sterling Resources Ltd. company.
