Antonescu threatens USL may leave Parliament

The National Liberal Party (PNL) president Crin Antonescu stated on Wednesday evening on Antena 3 that, in the event the ruling coalition should take responsibility on the administrative reorganization law, the opposition would be fully entitled to resort to a radical measure, that is, to leave Parliament, adding no final decision had been made as yet. “If the government should take responsibility on this law, this would give us ample reason to leave Parliament, in my opinion,” Antonescu argued. He made this statement after the ex-presidential aide Sebastian Lazaroiu stated, in an interview to Ziare.com, that putting the regional restructuring bill on hold would have disastrous consequences for the country.
