Enel Green Power makes ‘Salbatica 2’ wind farm operational

The ‘Salbatica 2’ wind farm, with an installed capacity of 70 MW, belonging to Enel Green Power, is now operational in Romania, reads a press release. The park, with 35 wind turbines of 2 MW each, is located near Tulcea, in northern Dobrogea. The ‘Salbatica 2’ wind farm will output some 200 million kWh a year, equivalent to the energy consumption of 66,000 households, avoiding the emission into the atmosphere of 140,000 tons of carbon dioxide each year. “(…) Wind energy is the most promising of renewable energy sources, due to the country’s potential to generate wind energy. Enel Green Power will continue to invest in Romania and hails the recent adoption by the government of the support scheme for renewable energies,” said Francesco Starace, CEO of Enel Green Power.
