Orange Romania posts higher incomes and more customers in Q3

Orange Romania posted a 3 pc income increase in Q3 2011, to EUR 241 M, according to the financial report of France Telecom, reads a press release. At September 30, Orange had 10.184 million customers, 1 pc more than in the previous quarter. The mobile broadband segment continued to expand, reaching a 43 pc increase year-on-year, with 4.3 million customers of the mobile broadband services.

During the third quarter of the year, Orange expanded its portfolio of new products with new options of price plans, and handsets in premiere – both smartphones and tablets, like: BlackBerry Bold 9900, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1”. For the first time in Romania, ever more customers are using the HD voice service, their number reaching 75,000. In its turn, the network upgrading programme continued, so Orange now covers 92 pc of Transylvania with its 3G network, while in Bucharest it provides the highest speed of the 3G network, up to 43.2 Mbps. Plus, the distribution network of Orange now benefits from a new design.
