The Romanian Radio’s Musical Ensembles will celebrate the Radio Day by an event-concert on Friday, October 28, starting 7pm, at the Radio Hall, marking 83 years since the moment the first radio signal was launched. The Bucharest public will have the privilege of seeing and hearing mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose and tenor Marius Vlad Budoiu alongside the National Radio Orchestra, conducted by Julien Salemkour. According to a release, quoted by HotNews, the programme will include the “Concerto no. 23 in A major for piano and orchestra”, K.488, by W.A. Mozart, featuring as Julien Salemkour as soloist. In the second part of the concert, mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose and tenor Marius Vlad Budoiu will treat us to their rendition of Mahler’s “Song of the Earth”. The French conductor Julien Salemkour has acted since 2001 as assistant to the master-conductor Daniel Barenboim at the Berlin State Opera and, as such, has conducted over 200 opera and ballet shows.
Tickets are available at the Radio Hall’s box-office in the Eventim network, at Germanos and Vodafone shops, Carturesti and Humanitas shops, and online on www.eventim.ro.
