LeasePlan Romania, EUR 1.4 M-earnings in Q3

The car-leasing company LeasePlan Romania reported EUR 1.43 M-earnings at the end of the third quarter, according to a press release remitted to “Nine O’Clock”. The company’s turnover amounted to EUR 21.99 M, rising by 33 pc compared to the third quarter of 2010. The managed portfolio rose by 45 pc compared to the same interval of the preceding year, to EUR 50.3 M. “The operational leasing market is growing at a faster pace compared to 2010, in keeping with our forecasts at the beginning of the year. This evolution is backed, largely, by the rise in demand as a result of the renewing of the old car fleet, as well as due to the extension of the existing fleet,” Bogdan Apahidean, LeasePlan Romania director general, stated. The company reported 6,000 vehicles under management on September 30, 2011, the majority in a full operational leasing system (over 83 pc), while providing exclusively fleet management services to 16 pc of the portfolio and funding to the remaining 1 pc.
