Nicole Kidman might promote Romania in documentary feature

Australian film star Nicole Kidman might promote Romanian tourist attractions in a documentary produced by the Travel Channel, Mediafax quoted Paul Lister, the producer of “Wild Carpathia”, the documentary film featuring Prince Charles, among others, as saying, while in London yesterday. Lister added that Prince Charles has fallen in love with Romania and this was plain to see during the filming. Furthermore, Prince Charles is very concerned about the fate of forests in Romania, and believes they should be kept in their current state. The documentary producer said he is going to meet with some of the actors who starred in ”Cold Mountain”, a film shot in Romania nearly a decade ago, starring Nicole Kidman, Jude Law and Rene Zellweger. He said he also intends to promote Romania by means of a Farmville-type game on the social-networking website Facebook based on “forest preservation in Romania”. Carmen Moraru, general director, Promotion Department, Ministry of Tourism and Regional Development, said that the ministry did not finance “Wild Carpathia”. Romania is participating with a tourism stall at the World Travel Market 2011, London, UK, November 7-10.
